MAPS IN THE NEWS:
Earlier this week Ebola was reported in a second area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In August 2018, an Ebola outbreak that public health authorities and NGOs are only now succeeding in stamping out began in North Kivu (the region north of Goma, on the Rwanda/Uganda border). This week Ebola was identified in the city of Mbandaka, a regional capital on the Congo River roughly 1,000 miles west of Goma. www.nationsonline.org/maps/dr_congo_map.jpg
