This month's Oxford University Press philosopher of the month is Mary Wollstonecraft. Wollstonecraft was a prominent British feminist, witness to the French Revolution, and political/moral philosopher of the late 1700s. (She is also remembered as the mother of Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein, which the students in my online comparative science fiction class just read.)
